Thansksgiving has passed, but as we enter the month of December we are still in the spirit of giving thanks for our clients, the Intuit team of professionals, and for our industry partners along with the continued growth of English Management Solutions, Inc. (EMS). We have been increasingly busy this year with not only assisting our current clients and establishing business relationships with many new clients, but also Will had the opportunity to be a speaker and presenter at several annual accounting and consultant conferences. Will and his colleague Steve Green, President of Steve D. Green Business Solutions, have co-authored three QuickBooks Point of Sale (QBPOS) operation handbooks in which numerous business owners and Pro-Advisors throughout the country have been actively using. Thank you for the confidence you have placed in EMS and the Intuit product.

William is attending the Intuit Solution Provider (ISP) Demo Days this weekend. It is an exciting opportunity for Intuit to showcase the ISP's at Intuit's direct sales and support site in Tucson.

You may remember that in October I informed you of William teaching at this years Intuit Solution Provider (ISP) conference in Orlando, FL, and this week he was in Las Vegas teaching at the annual Sleeter Conference. At both events he was able to share with the attendees many of the QuickBooks Point of Sale (QBPOS) best practices and tips on extending its capabilities. William is considered one of the the country's leading expert advisors and was personally invited to teach at both seminars by the owners and directors.  He was able to visit with old friends and make new ones; networking with colleagues, industry experts, and hardware and software developers and service suppliers. 

Even though William has been out of town at the conferences, his regular work didn't stop. In between sessions he would still check email and respond accordingly, but there were days that the response time was delayed more so than usual due to the seminar schedules. Thank you to everyone who allowed us the necessary extra time to respond to your important questions and inquiries.

We are having our online store rebuilt! We had our website rebuilt in the Spring of this year and are excited that the online store is next. It will have the same look and feel as our website and the new store will improve the efficiency of online ordering. Please contact us if you would like to order any of our products or publications before the launch of our new online store, which is projected for the end of November. The Sleeter Group's 2011 Accounting  Solutions Conference begins next Monday Nov. 7th. Our very own William English will teach a session on QuickBooks Point of Sale (QBPOS) Best Practices along with his colleague Steve Green. William and Steve are considered two of the country's foremost QuickBooks Point of Sale experts, as they will review best practices for setting up and using the QuickBooks Point of Sale product. Topics include company file set up, item setup, best practices for purchasing and receiving inventory and managing the sales tax function. In addition, they will cover the financial integration between QBPOS and QuickBooks Financial software, and troubleshooting techniques for dealing with reversing documents and finding differences between inventory values in QBPOS vs. QBFS. Between them, Steve and Will have helped thousands of POS users and consultants dating all the way back to the first versions of QBPOS.

The Sleeter Group's mission is to arm accountants and consultants serving the small- to medium-sized business market with the critical skills and tools necessary to be successful. Attendees will gain essential knowledge from the country's leading expert advisory group while networking with colleagues, industry experts, and hardware and software developers and service suppliers. This spectrum of people, all in one place at one time, will congregate in seminars to learn about new product coming out, as well as attend workshops to help make current product better, and see all of the  third party software provider’s products and how they work with QuickBooks. Sessions will include both the technical and business aspects.

We are proud to announce that William English, President of English Management Solutions, Inc. is one of the chosen presenters this year. He will teach on extending the capabilities of QuickBooks POS. It is an honor that he has this opportunity.

This year’s theme is “Connections,” to represent the important role Summit plays in connecting Intuit Solution Providers such as William with peers, vendors, and Intuit representatives as we look for new ways to improve and expand our business.
