QBPOS 2013 Fundamentals Webinar

Yesterday Will hosted a webinar on QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013 Fundamentals to a group of attendees from all over the country, literally from the East to the West Coast. You’ve got to love modern technology. It was almost like they were in the room with him. We used the GoToMeeting application which allowed each person to view and listen to the presentation in real time as well as interact by asking questions. Each person was provided with a PDF of the PowerPoint presentation. We raffled off a couple of items such as a copy of the QuickBooks Point of Sale Store Operations Handbook co-authored by Will English and a Starbucks gift card. What's Happening at EMS this Week

We could not have had a busier week. Will has spent most of the week at some of our customer's companies performing QuickBooks software and accompanying hardware installations, upgrades, and training the staff on how to use the products. One client owns two nurseries and is in the process of opening a third. They upgraded their 14 QuickBooks Point of Sale licenses to the 2013 version of multi-store and added the QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions product. Will could not complete the installation at their new location due to an electrical issue so he'll go back and finish it next week. Another is a new client who is opening her first boutique! How exciting that we can be a part of this monumental event by helping her start on the right foot. She is implementing the Point of Sale system. Another client upgraded to the new Point of Sale software and wanted some additional training on performing daily functions.

Will ran into some glitches with one of the installations but was able to move forward and did not leave until he knew that everything was working properly. We made a slight adjustment to his schedule but will do what is necessary to provide the utmost in customer care.

He is joining a colleague at the upcoming Sage Summit. This conference provides best practices and takeaways for the fundamental and advanced on industry trends and hot business topics. They teach tactical and strategic business practices. Will is going to network with many business leaders and partners as they strategize ways to propel their companies forward.

RetailNOW 2012 Conference

Will is attending the RetailNOW conference. It’s 3 ½ days packed full of informative sessions and opportunities to not only hear from industry leaders on technology, PCI, merchants, etc. but also to network with peers, leaders and innovators.

QuickBooks Support, Training, & Installation

We've got another busy week planned. Will was on the phone this morning performing remote QuickBooks POS assistance for a client located north of LA County who did not require Will to do the work onsite. The company provides salon services for the general public so it’s imperative that their POS system is accurately configured and the staff is properly trained on how to use it. This afternoon, Will installed QB Pro 2012 at a client’s natural foods retail store in San Diego. Middle of this week, he is going to provide onsite support & training with a client just south of Los Angeles who utilizes both QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions and Point of Sale. They requested him to do this work onsite. And on Friday, Will is scheduled to perform a POS installation for a San Diego based retail company that is opening a second location. It’s exciting to help companies with their growth and expansion.


Will is leaving this weekend to teach at the upcoming annual Joe Woodard Scaling New Heights conference. This is an advanced training conference designed to empower QuickBooks ProAdvisors to support their clients. It provides practical and in-depth professional education and networking opportunities among the nation’s most successful QuickBooks consultants. Will is teaching on QuickBooks Fundamentals, New Features of the QuickBooks POS Version 2013, Extending the Capabilities of QuickBooks POS, and he will co-present QuickBooks Point of Sale Best Practices. Consultants from across the country attend this conference and Will English is honored to be one of the Joe Woodard national recognized trainers each year.

If the matter can be resolved after the holiday, we will assist you at that time.

Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season. Many people celebrate by attending parades, visiting cemeteries and memorials, and enjoying a barbecue with friends and/or family.

No matter how we celebrate this day, let’s not forget the men and women who have sacrificed their lives as well as those who have retired from the armed forces and the soldiers who are currently serving so that we can continue to have the many freedoms and opportunities that we have in this great United States of America.
